Here is a lovely photo dump for my own memories. I will link decorations, etc, below. ๐Ÿ™‚

The cutest little four year old.

Between Lila’s actual birthday (10/21) and her birthday “party” (10/24), Daniel also had his birthday (10/22).

It may not look like much, but that cobbler was BOMB. Here is the recipe.

Like every other parent celebrating a child’s birthday during this dang pandemic, we had a lot of guilt. So we did what any totally normal and sane parent would do to make themselves feel better and rented the most ridiculous on-theme bounce house we could find. Thanks to my sister for splitting the cost!

My favorite photo of Lila’s bounce house: Daniel’s matching feet hanging out.

I cut a four out of cardboard and sprinkled around it and then carefully removed it. The cake is also rainbow when you cut into it. The rainbow star was supposed to be a piรฑata….

I constantly reuse that plastic “Happy Birthday” cake topper from a sheet cake we bought a few years ago. The cookies were made by a contact my sister has in San Antonio. Everything is linked below! I especially loved the cake decorations. I saved them of course. ๐Ÿ˜›

The rainbow balloon back drop is from the Happy Wish Company. I am grateful for the replacement balloons because they gradually came deflated. I blame the sticker dots used to hold them together. A friend of mine used double sided scotch tape and that worked WAY better. You can tell in the photo below that I started to just overlap them.

Oh, and in case anyone is shaking their heads at our pandemic party – our immediate families tested for covid before coming down, and only two of Lila’s friends were invited – the only two that she sees daily. AKA our bubble. ๐Ÿ™‚
I also wasn’t comfortable having too many people in the house so her friends came earlier in the day, and then once they left our families showed up. #SlowTheSpread (I yell that at my library students when I tell the to put their masks on correctly. LOL)
