The baby shower my sister threw for me last month was amazing, and then my gym pals surprised me a crossfit baby shower! I am so grateful for the support system they offer. I’ve been a member of Crossfit Caveman since 2012 (with a few months off here and there after Lila was born). I worked out while I was pregnant with Lila, and am going to continue, hopefully about twice a week, with the twins.

The coaches are always looking out for me, which is helpful, because I am sometimes unaware of an exercise or position that I should avoid – though I do always listen to my body in regards to discomfort. With the twins I’ve definitely had to cut back a lot more than when I was pregnant with Lila. Month seven has been really rough! (Currently 30 weeks)

So after the initial surprise, we commenced with the Saturday partner workout. The baby edit was that everyone needed to wear a weighted backpack. *Sorryyyyy!*

Afterwards we ate loads of food, fruit, yogurt, sweets, and breakfast tacos! I overdid it on everything. ๐ Seriously, when I got home I was basically in bed for the rest of the day. Too much food, excitement, and standing around! Usually after a workout I chill for a while. ๐

Thanks again to everyone that came to the baby shower, threw the baby shower, and gifted us with diapers, wipes and generosity. I appreciate it so, so much!
That is so sweet! If I had a crossfit gym like this near me, I would love it. But I’ve heard some toxic gym stories, and I am just a little shy about checking out my local ones. Glad you have found such a supportive gym that is kid friendly!
Yes! I’ve heard a lot of stories. My gym is as hardcore as you want to be. At first I was glad to just be working out again and then I got real motivated. Totally my fave.
