Summer is almost here, and that means bright sunny skies and lazy days by the water! Well, technically it’s been off and on warm for a while because this is Houston after all. But at least some of the humidity will be gone, right? Right???? 🙂
Swimsuit season has never been my thing. Even when I lost so much weight for my wedding, I was not fond of spandex squeezing whatever fat I left behind. Even though I am about to be at my largest this summer, I can’t help but long for a body of water to float in while the sun is shining on my skin. Is that a possible craving? haha Maybe it’s the idea of feeling weightless that appeals to me.
While I’ve been attempting to get some sun on my arms and legs, my face is another matter. Through the years I’ve developed sunspots and am attempting to get rid of them and prevent more from popping up. Enter Sunshine Tienda! The shop just screams summer. And this Peruvian hat is perfect for keeping the sun off my sunscreen-slathered face. I often worry about the tip of my nose, too, but there’s no way that’s escaping from under this hat. 🙂
I was afraid there was too much sunshine in this photo but the hat created a big enough shade to get a shot of my sister with it on. 🙂
The hat itself is made in Mexico and the trim is added in-house. I added the pink ribbon to match my outfit [and gender reveal!].
