breakfast with post goodness and a giveaway!

I received Post Goodness Breakfast Bowls to review on my blog. All opinions are my own. #ad #Sverve #freeproduct #postgoodness

A few days ago I shared how proud I am of myself for walking my dogs every morning. Waking up early enough to get things done [other than rolling out of bed and barely getting ready for work on time] is definitely not my forté. I might have time to make coffee before hitting the road, but sitting down to breakfast is rarely an option. Enter Post Goodness Breakfast Bowls! I’m definitely an oatmeal girl, but dang! Have you tried steel cut oats? I think I watched a TV show recently where someone made a really big deal about whether something was made with oatmeal or steel cut oats – what show was that? DUH, Gilmore Girls. 🙂 Anyway, now I understand!

I didn’t need to add milk or water or anything to these babies. After walking and feeding the dogs, I heat up this breakfast bowl for a minute, stirred it around, and enjoyed my apple cinnamon goodness with my coffee. It’s a really good sized portion! I could see myself eating it on the way to work [or before] and saving the rest for a mid-morning snack…AKA second breakfast. 🙂

I added granola to my serving, and parmesan cheese to D’s. The serving size was perfect for him – a growing boy. ;-P

  3. I'm a savory breakfast person. Sweet breakfasts tend to give me headaches and make my morning sluggishness worse. But put some protein in there and I'm good to go!

  4. I love a slightly sweet breakfast, usually oatmeal or a granola parfait, with fresh fruit to start the day.

  7. I'm really not a breakfast food fan, and I don't usually gravitate toward what I consider sweet stuff. (Like pancakes, waffles..) You are more likely to catch me eating pasta, chili, pizza, etc for breakfast.

  8. I like savory breakfasts at home and sweet breakfasts on vacation. sbcashortie at hotmail dot com

  9. I usually just have a coffee or latte but sometimes I have something sweet like a muffin or a donut. The only time I ever eat a real brekkie is sunday brunch, or when we're at the cottage or on vacay!

  11. If it's only for once in a while, I like a savory breakfast–eggs and sausage and biscuits. But for every day some oatmeal and raisins is delicious 🙂

  12. I'm a savoury breakfast type of gal. I love a nice warm bowl of oatmeal in the mornings!

  13. I'm a savory traditionalist – bacon, eggs, toast. But I did have the most incredible belgian waffles topped with whipped cream and strawberries, and I'll take that any day.

  14. I like savory best. I find the sausage and cheese oats interesting – I've never tried anything like that.
