home tour – giant closet!

A couple months ago I got it in my head that my “office” should become a closet. I hadn’t been using it quite as much since I stopped sewing [except as storage], and it would force me to get rid of a lot of things. Moving my office into our bedroom closet would be fine for me, too – it’s a pretty decent sized walk-in. This enabled us Daniel to transform the room into an even bigger walk-in! So far it’s worked out very well. We don’t get in each others’ way in the morning, things are much more organized and therefore clean, and it kind of makes me want to do my laundry more often. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sandy, if you are reading this…you can have those purses back!! You left them in bags when you moved out…so I “borrowed” them. ๐Ÿ™‚

I will eventually paint over that nasty green…this room doesn’t get enough natural light, and the overhead light makes the green even worse. I bought a bucket of light gray paint for the hallway and will hopefully have some leftover for the room. What do you think??

Daniel uses most of the tallest racks, and I use the shortest. ๐Ÿ™‚

In the actual closet closet are laundry hampers, a dresser, and storage out the wazoo. In the cabinets you can find more storage…and more shoes!

Here are a few before shots, and below is the during. ๐Ÿ™‚

p.s. Yes, maybe we have too much clothing…no judging!

  1. It turned out great! I've always wanted to turn a small bedroom in my house into a closet and this makes me want to do it more. I think the grey paint will look awesome ๐Ÿ™‚
