anti-perspirant for an athlete who is anti-funk

As an active person, I am always on the prowl for a great anti-perspirant. While it’s expected that you sweat profusely at roller derby practice, you don’t want to be that person. The one everyone is trying to skate by quickly…because of the body odor. When you play sports, it’s important to use a long-lasting deodorant. For your own comfort, as well as everyone else’s.

I am not always the most prepared derby girl, but what I keep my in skate bag helps me to improve my A game. Obviously there’s all of the required safety equipment: helmet, mouth guard, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards.  And then there’s snacks, energy mixes, wipes, deodorizing spray for my pads, skate tools, scrimmage jersey, extra lace[s], and extra left over socks [oops!]. Most important, though?? My Tom’s of Maine deodorant! While it is long-lasting, I am an avid reapply-er, especially on game day. I don’t want to have to worry about how I smell on top of how I’m going to bust through a pile of blockers. And with everyone watching? I’m also pretty stoked that Tom’s deodorant focuses on natural ingredients that won’t leave a white residue on my black [or pink!] uniform.

You know what else I appreciate about a brand I can trust? Being confident enough to find and order the product online. Especially if I get to use my Amazon account. 😉 You can order from your phone, tablet, computer…it’s so easy! My Tom’s of Maine arrived in just 2 days. Oh, Amazon Prime, you are so worth it.
Keeping myself fresh for the roller derby game is important, but have you read about what Tom’s of Maine stands for?
Among all of the icons above, a couple stood out the most:
They don’t use any artificial colors, flavors, or fragrances.
No animal testing or animal ingredients. my personal fave!

That being said, why wouldn’t you want to use a good product that helps you and the environment? I know Rory is pretty stoked about not being tested on. ha! 🙂

How do you fight the funk??
xoxo
