Last weekend, Daniel and I journeyed near Austin for a wedding. For some reason I didn’t book our hotel room in time, and the place filled up. On top of that, every hotel in the vicinity was hosting folks in town for SXSW, and therefore all prices were jacked up. After two failed attempts, I finally found a B&B in Wimberley through airbnb – I used them on my last trip to Austin for a wedding, too. ๐ I plan to share my experience soon – it was so serene! But here’s a look at the town first.
When Daniel and I drove up I was so overwhelmed. I wanted to photograph everything! We walked around for a couple hours, checking out the shops, art, scenery, and taking photographs all the while, of course. ๐ My favorite place has to be Shop the Treehouse. There are two stories of home decor, furniture, trinkets, art, signs – all gorgeous. I wanted to live on the second floor, it was so incredibly cozy.
At another shop, I fell in love with the Texas themed cowboy boots. Ha! They were so expensive, it didn’t even cross my mind to purchase them. And oops! I technically wasn’t supposed to be taking photographs in the store…once I saw the sign I stopped… The shop was super cute, and they had some crazy looking cats! Just a bit too pricey for Daniel and I. But how I long for this American flag wrap!
The back of some of the older boutiques looked straight out of a horror story. I think they might be used for storage? I took a bunch more photographs, but these were the most interesting. One shop had a wire tree with hanging glasses out front. So pretty.
Handmade tree carvings. Pretty awesome! And the old man, below, was finished in January.
This little puppy’s name is Einstein. A woman had just adopted him a couple days ago and she was walking around town as he slept in her arms. So adorable. I asked her if I could take his photograph and she liked it so much she asked me to email it to her. ๐
My favorite part of our walk around town? TEXAS TILE. So much pride in my home….it’s ridiculous. Cheers to exploring small towns! ๐

WOW the coffee sign! That place looks amazing, so bright and colorful :3
It all looks so awesome! I feel like I need that coffee sign in my life
Those signs make it all appear so cozy & give me the urge to hop in the car for long drive to Wimberly. But no matter how much I love all the signage, that puppy is my ultimate favorite. Puppies are my kryptonite, especially adorable hound puppies!
Oh my goodness- cutest town ever!!
