I feel like the word “elite” has a negative connotation to it. When I attended my first event, I discovered that these folks are some of the most positive and friendly people I’ve ever met.
The event was at a nearby Outback Steakhouse. We sampled a variety of appetizers and cocktails, and chatted the night away. 🙂
I’m proud of myself for attending this first event. There were no +1s allowed [this time] so you don’t have a safety net. The introvert in me was a little uncomfortable…but I am glad I put myself out there.
They even gave me a free pair of socks. Perfect for roller derby! 🙂
Can’t wait for the next event!
