It’s finally fall in Houston! Pretty exciting stuff. 🙂
A fall fashion trend that I am confident will never go out of style is the denim jacket. It is incredibly versatile and layer-able – a “cool kid” staple for always.
I tend to jump the gun as soon as it starts to get a little cooler outside. I grab my thickest dress and pair it with tights and boots, only to be sweating through it by the afternoon

Because the weather down south doesn’t get too extreme, this denim jacket from Sears suits me perfectly.
The jacket struck my fancy because of its simple hardware. The silverish buttons on the black denim creates a contrast that allows me to pair it with almost anything in my closet.
On cool days, I can accessorize most of my outfits [from dresses to jeans and a tee] with just this jacket. Add a pin or some other embellishment if you like, and you’re set.
When it’s a little colder, layer a hoodie underneath or make a boring old sweatshirt a lot more interesting.

I totally relate! I live in Tyler, TX (just "down the road" from you!) and the first day it dipped under 70 I freaked out about brought out the skinny jeans and boots and layers–only to be dying by that afternoon. Haha! Hope it cools off so we can really enjoy our cold weather style all day soon! 😉 Love that jacket–I'm a huge sucker for black & silver and I love how that shakes up a typical jean jacket look, it's also just so cute and I love how versatile it is! #client
