*note: no public intoxication actually occurred on the premise. No drinking at all, actually. 🙂
In general, my Labor day was pretty interesting. It began with the fact that my face was partially numb/sore. I paid a visit to the dentist that morning, where she replaced an old filling way way way in the back of my mouth. Ouch. I spent a couple hours learning how to play golf, afterwards. Well, not really. I learned how to hit a golf ball at a driving range. It was pretty fun! Laughing was weird. And I kept getting food on my face. Ha! I guess these two activities really tuckered me out. After running a couple errands with Daniel, it was time for a nap. 🙂
We decided to explore our neighborhood once I woke up and was admittedly less grouchy and sore. There are a couple abandoned shopping centers nearby that I had been eyeing…so swallowed my pride and asked Daniel if he could please assist me in some blog photography. 🙂
While we explored and took photos, two chihuahuas came out of nowhere and practically chased us off! Well, they tried. Apparently there’s a guy who “guards” one of the old complexes…and with the assistance of his insanely annoying “watch dogs,” he keeps the place hoodlum-free.
Because Daniel and I live with two rather large, and actually scary, dogs, we were surprised by the yappers, yes, but turned back around and kept shooting. Do NOT turn your back on a chihuahua! Ha! I had to look over my shoulder every few seconds to keep them them off my ankles. Finally we left out of shear annoyance. Le sigh. One day! Abandoned buildings are so cool!
