Recently, due to obvious reasons, friends have been sharing all for which they are thankful. I am not a very introspective person and felt like anything I posted on the matter would be superficial. But this week, while Daniel was in Cambodia, I had a lot of time to think.
In some respects, I am a lazy person. I love hanging out with my friends and loved ones, but it usually has to be someone else’s idea.
So what happens when Daniel is gone? A lot of alone time.
Luckily, I have amazing friends and family. 🙂
The first day of Thanksgiving break, the day Daniel left, I was pretty distraught. Usually I am the one being driven to the airport. Rarely the driver.
And then a text message came through, and a couple hours later I was hanging around a fire pit, surrounded by friends, eating s’mores, and playing with puppies.
I ended up spending my break with amazing people. Whether it was my family, sister, dear friends, co-workers…and I am thankful for them. I am thankful for the people in my life. And how they put up with me and my quirks and obsessions. And even if I may not contact them all that frequently, I appreciate their friendship. And their quirks. And obsessions. 🙂
Thank you for not abandoning me!
xoxo
p.s. in case it wasn’t obvious, I am also thankful for Daniel. 🙂
I'm thankful for blog friends!
I hope you're not too lonely. My husband is military so I know how that goes. 🙂
