When it’s about time to hit the grocery store, I scrounge around the house for some pasta, sauce, and “meat.”
Whether you are vegetarian or not, Morning Star or Boca’s substitute meat crumbles are a pretty tasty [&healthy!] addition to your pasta sauce. I also added some sauteed onions. 🙂
Just some food for thought!

I've been craving spaghetti and meat sauce lately, we have been using sausage which is delicious but I'm over it. I would love try this healthy version. Also! If you like bell peppers, they are SO good in spaghetti, I can't really eat it without them now. Red, yellow and orange cut into big chunks and sauteed with onions, seasoned with some garlic and salt (or garlic salt), Perfect!!!
!!! When I discovered Morning Star's "Grillers" meat crumbles, my life got so much better. It's so good in tacos, too! Mix it with some taco seasoning and you can't tell it's not real beef.
You know, I'm not sure why I never thought to try that. Since going pescatarian, I find myself missing meat sauces when I (very frequently) have pasta. I should try this next time!
I'm completely obsessed with the Morningstar ones! Even my meat eating boyfriend prefers them!
love this! I use morningstar for just about everything!
Looks tasty! I'll have to check morningstar out!
