what i wore – and a DIY update!

I am over at This Creative Life with a “What I Wore” guest post. Can you guess where my dress is from? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Last week I attempted a Shirt Knotting DIY. I recently tried the twisted knot version and liked it so much more, I thought I’d share. ๐Ÿ™‚

You can find the finish-off process in my last DIY.
Center the knots and then stretch the T-shirt. And then center the knots again. ๐Ÿ™‚
I have a problem with lining up my cuts- oops! I suppose drawing the lines in advance might help. ๐Ÿ™‚
Maybe next time!

[Skip to 6:45 in this video if you need more visuals.]

Good luck! And don’t forget to check out that guest post. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I find it's easiest to fold the back of the shirt in half and cut it that way. Love your blog, by the way! Long time reader, first time commenter ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. I really like the refashion idea, and I have a shirt I want to try it out with! I have a weird question, though, so I hope it makes sense. The shirt I want to try it with is a gender-neutral (re: utterly shapeless) shirt, so I'm wondering if I can use the length of the cuts to determine where it will pull tighter? Like, to create an hourglass-styled shape, should I do long cuts on the top and bottom and shallower cuts in the middle, or the other way around? Thanks so much!

  3. It took me a minure to figure out what you did there with the loops. Nice! This might look cool for a toddler beach cover up…
