SEVEN

I had a crush on Daniel when I first met him in English class sophomore year of high school. It was actually after a schedule change that we ended up in the same period. Seats had already been assigned in alpha order, but since I came in late, the only empty seat was in the B section [and I’m an R]. The situation worked out nicely for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

So this boy that say behind me – he was a big flirt! I do think Daniel may have liked me at some point, but we maintained a pretty good friendship throughout high school. That, and he dated my best friend. ๐Ÿ™‚
 High School – 1999

Freshman year of college – 2001

Freshman year of college I developed an even BIGGER crush on Daniel. And just like sophomore year of high school, he was incredibly charming and flirtacious. We hung out a lot [even though we were at separate universities in different cities], and went on a “date” over Christmas break. But again, the time wasn’t right.
[“Oh, it’s right. Just not right now.”]
I was pretty “straight edge” [but never, EVER called myself that] and he was rebellious. We weren’t quite ready for each other yet. ๐Ÿ™‚

Fast forward to May 2005. After years of chatting on instant messenger on and off, I shot over an IM. Something to the effect of, “Hey, we are about to graduate and who knows where life is going to take us. Wanna hang out one last time?”

At this point I was older and wiser [though not too much old or too much wiser] and had chilled out a lot. Daniel had also toned it down a bit. We were finally on a level playing field – and hit it off instantly. <3
the following photographs were taken within our first 6 months dating.

I am not going to lie. Seven years is hard work. Our schedules are full of work and sports and dogs and errands. Daniel and I have to make time for each other. Sometimes we hit rough patches, but we get through it. And we have our summers. ๐Ÿ™‚
