reading lately :)

a little over a week ago, i was traveling to Colorado. i know i have mentioned it before – i am sorry! BUT, i wanted to share a favorite travel activity of mine. READING.
i have also posted couple times [see here & here] about some sweet dystopian novels in which you should partake. ๐Ÿ™‚
my librarian friend recommended a book to me that i finished in the weekend i traveled.
it was that good:

okay, it’s a bit on the fantasy side – i compare it to Buffy the Vampire Slayer because there are many different “races” of beasts and beings, and then regular old humans, too.
if you enjoyed any of the books i linked to above, you will probably be totally engrossed by this novel as well. i’m no good at summaries, so read it yourself. ๐Ÿ™‚

Currently I am reading Birthmarked because I saw a thread about it on facebook. I am only a few pages in…will update soon!

happy reading!

  1. I am totally not a fantasy person but so many people have recommended this book to me! I actually won an advanced reader copy on a YA review blog so I definitely need to get to it! I read "Lips Touch Three Times" by Laini Taylor a couple years ago and totally dug it.

  2. Hey- I'm curious to hear what you think of Birthmarked. I thought it was okay, but liked it enough to request the nest installment of the series at the library. Are you on goodreads?

    • i AM on goodreads! inactive though…lame! my plan is to rectify this in the next few days ๐Ÿ™‚
birthmarked was good! it wasn't amazing or anything, but it definitely held my attention to where i stayed up late trying to finish it towards the end ๐Ÿ™‚
