this weekend, houston had it’s very first food truck festival. i’m actually not to big on food trucks [they tend to revolve around meat], but a couple tasty discoveries in austin, tx led me to be more open minded. ๐
a few friends and i made our way over on saturday around 3pm. the crowds leaving the festival wished us luck and told us the lines were extremely long and the wait [for ordered food] was even longer.
many trucks were already sold out on their most popular dishes, and my friend paula had to wait about an hour for an order. but while we waited, we went around trying other food trucks ๐
honestly i only tried 2 food trucks….but they were awesome!
houston streats‘ avacado tacos – DELISH
it’s a wrap! “casa blanca” tacos – also YUM!
so i was in a taco-y mood! what! ๐
recommendations for next year…..
arrive at noon when the festival begins!
wear sunscreen&hat!
stay hydrated!
divide…and concur those trucks!
oh man, that looks/sounds delicious!! I wish I had heard of the festival before now!
my kids freakin LOVE avocado tacos. easiest dinner ever.
This is making me huuuuuuuuungry! Last night I had some DELICIOUS tacos! Tons of fresh cilantro and an avocado corn salsa! Yum!
