oh my goodness! i had such a blast at roller derby! i was so afraid, nervous, etc – but i met some great ladies and had so much fun!
the session was supposed to start at 7:00pm but there was a tiny tot’s birthday party going on…so we started at 8:30pm. Yikes! Nobody got out until around 10:30pm.
waiting until the birthday party is over…there is a large crowd of girls to my L and R as well!
Because I was in the beginner’s class – DAY ONE, we did a LOT of stopping and falling. It was super fun. The group was a tad less than 20 girls, but halfway through half of them left! A small group is quite helpful 🙂
I didn’t get hurt or bruised this round, either! [We just won’t count my face plant earlier today during my own personal practice!]
So! One Ibuprofen down, one Saint Arnold’s Lawnmower [been craving one for DAAAAYS] later…I am about to crash into my bed. Oh what fun I have discovered 😀

I've been keeping up with your tweets – I think it is SO cool that your following through with the roller derby!! I saw 'Whip It' in theaters and I thought it was def a kick-ass flick! Don't think I didn't consider it, but mostly since I live with my rents, I just think they'd be so worried if I kept coming home with bruises + scrapes, haha. So I know this isn't the important part, but when do you pick names? I loved Drewburyoumore – muahahahaha!!

awesome go you! I was going to go to my local roller derby but they meet on a Sunday morning and Wednesday evening to practice – both nights when I have church stuff on. So trampolining on a Monday and Swimming on a Friday (and maybe roller skating round my neighbourhood when I get some) will have to do for now lol
roller derby looks amazing. they have a couple teams in hamilton and ivan has been trying to get me to join for years, haha. a few of my friends used to do it and it looked really fun. maybe one day!

It takes a lot of guts to do this! So, so awesome. I broke my ankle roller skating in the 4th grade… haven't put a pair on since. But at least I've been ice skating since.
