i know i may come off as a goofball – and i TOTALLY am [no denial over here!].
but i wanted to share with you a bit of professionalism 🙂
every year, when work/school starts back up, i try to “dress to impress”. because of my stature, i feel like i have to work extra hard to be taken seriously…so until i feel like i’ve made that impression, i dress more…”grown up.”
then i start dressing more quirky and comfortable 🙂
but until i have established my authority in those hallways:
alright, maybe i use the term “professional” loosely 🙂
dont mind the face…
or veiny feet 🙂
grr! don’t mess with me in those middle school hallways!
OR at the bar.
because this last saturday, daniel, my boyfriend, got his butt slapped!
and instead of going all RAWR HAIR PULL YANK HISS…
i walked straight up to the girl and gave her a little back pat/rub and told her the next time she walks passed my boyfriend to please not slap him on the @$$.
and then i did the whole kthxbye.
she just kinda stuttered around and looked buuuussssted.
tee hee 😉
I can totally picture you doing that, and then smiling all innocently and sweet like in that picture. I am laughing so hard over here! I love this 🙂
I think this deserves a "oh no she didn't!" I like that your professional attire is still pretty darn feisty.
I don't think I would have been able to keep my cool! Good job keeping your feisty under control & nice touch with kthxbye!
Well handled! Right down to the kthxbye! Funny about professional attire. Years ago, one of the veteran teachers in the district told us all to wear suits the first week with stockings and heels. haha right….We wear spirit wear the first day.
Those shoes are awesome!
haha! i wouldn't mess with you girl. 😉
way to put the grrr to that fiesty, my friend. you told her! 😉
Since when does Bubba have an a$*? 😉
um..your shoes are amazing!
No I don't think I would mess withy you! haha
Haha, I love that you said something!! I probably would have just glared at the girl and been a bit passive-aggressive…
I feel like I have to dress extra professional to be take seriously, too! I was once mistake for a seventh grader…by a fellow teacher…and I'm 5'8''!
I would expect to blend in at the high school, but the junior high?!
emilie – so glad to make you laugh! i still giggle to myself about it every once in while 🙂
lisa – hahaha i'm pretty sure my face turned all attitude rubber necky when it all happened!
ashley – i have a love/hate relationship with the "kthxbye" hahaha
aubrey – ew…stockings??? nevah!
windsor – thanks! i love shoe shopping on amazon.com 🙂
meesh – 😉
ashley – ya! my co-workers were amazed!
traci – hahaha right? 🙂
amylou– thank you! and grrr! 😉
stephanie-i can't believe you are that tall and get mistaken for a 7th grader! haha must be some tall kids at your school!
Aw your blog is so cute, I don't know how I haven't come across it before. I've added your button to my blog 🙂
Hahaha I love you! You're awesome.
And I just stole a button from ya. 🙂
hooray! i am off to snatch some buttons 😀
Very enlightening and beneficial to someone whose been out of the circuit for a long time.
Hey, I can't view your site properly within Opera, I actually hope you look into fixing this.
