In a little over a week [9 days to be exact!], Daniel and I will begin our “Greece Etc.” summer journey!
We applied for an amazing opportunity through Fund For Teachers and were chosen!
Daniel and I are “Team Pythagoras” and will be traveling to Crete, Greece to attend a Creativity Workshop.
We will then apply what we learn to our math classes this upcoming
school year. I am excited for myself and my future students!
it’s all greek to me from roxy rodriguez on Vimeo.Honestly, it’s been about a month since I’ve practiced and I’m getting nervous! Time to play that CD 24/7!!
The
title of this blog, “greece, etc” refers to the places we will be
traveling, starting with Greece. After our workshop in Crete we will be
visiting Athens for a couple days, researching the architecture for use
in our math classes. Then we will continue our journey [on our own] to
Italy, Austria, and Spain. I am incredibly anxious, exhilarated…and
nose ulcerific [a condition I’ve had for a while caused by stress! ha!].
SO – Do you have any travel tips for me? It’s been almost 3 years since I’ve traveled abroad – help!
